Mediumship and Psychic Readings

Mediumship focuses on communication with loved ones who have passed away. Psychic readings explore your present circumstances, relationships, career and possible paths ahead.

How I Experience Spirit Communication

During a mediumship session, I receive impressions through images in my mind, words, feelings and symbols. These may arrive briefly and unexpectedly, rather than as an ordinary conversation or a physical presence in the room.

My role is to interpret those impressions and share them with you. A detail may relate to a personality, a memory or something meaningful in your relationship with a loved one who has passed away. Sometimes its significance is clearer to you than it is to me.

I approach this work with compassion, discretion and care. Interpretation is a human process, and no particular connection or message can be guaranteed.

Lugano exists at the most beautiful of intersections — the point where Swiss precision, Swiss privacy and Swiss legal architecture meet the Italian instinct for beauty, warmth, pleasure and the cultivation of the good life. The city of approximately sixty thousand permanent residents is the principal urban centre of the Italian-speaking Canton of Ticino, and its lakeside position — between Monte San Salvatore to the south-west and Monte Brè to the north-east, on a bay of Lake Lugano whose colour and stillness suggest the Mediterranean rather than the Alps — gives it an atmosphere of extraordinary sensuousness within an equally extraordinary framework of order and security. The private villas that line the lake's shores above and below the city represent some of the most coveted residential addresses in the world — the beneficiaries of a microclimate that supports palm trees and Mediterranean vegetation, of a landscape of exceptional natural beauty, and of a fiscal and legal framework that has made Ticino the chosen base for a significant proportion of Europe's most substantial private wealth. The residents who occupy these addresses have found, in Lugano, the specific combination that no other city can provide: the Italian light and the Swiss lock.

The life lived from a Lugano villa has a quality of sovereign self-sufficiency — the garden, the lake, the terrace, the meals that take three hours because they are worth taking three hours. A private consultation by secure video is entirely consistent with this sovereignty: it arrives on the terms of the client rather than the practitioner, it requires no travel, no public appointment and no compromise of the specific quality of privacy and order that Lugano's most discerning residents have organised their lives to preserve. Many of Raphaël's Lugano clients connect from lakeside terraces in the late morning, from private studies with views across the water, or from the extraordinary interiors of villas that combine Italian decorative tradition with Swiss functional precision. The setting amplifies the quality of reflection that a consultation invites; Raphaël's connection with each client is equally complete regardless of the landscape behind them.

Lugano's international community — the Italian industrialists and family dynasties who have established their financial structures on the Swiss side of the border, the Northern European and British private clients who have chosen Ticino for its combination of quality and discretion, the global professionals who manage portfolios from lakeside offices of considerable elegance — is one that Raphaël has engaged with through his wider international practice. His natural ease with Italian culture, the French and Italian languages, and the particular sensibility that the Italo-Swiss world represents gives his Lugano consultations a cultural fluency that clients from this community find both unexpected and immediately recognisable. His understanding of the specific dynamic between Mediterranean emotional intelligence and Northern European professional rigour — the dynamic that defines Lugano itself — is something he brings to every consultation conducted here.

Ticino's history as the Italian-speaking canton of German-speaking Switzerland has given Lugano a character of permanent creative tension — a city that holds two cultures simultaneously without being entirely claimed by either. The Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, with its Renaissance facade facing the lake, the Via Nassa with its concentration of fine jewellers and international luxury boutiques, the Museo d'Arte della Svizzera Italiana with its remarkable collection of international modern and contemporary art — these are the cultural coordinates of a city whose ambitions exceed its size. The financial sector — concentrated in the banking offices of Via Vegezzi and the surrounding streets — manages private wealth from across the Italian-speaking world and beyond, providing the economic foundation for the quality of urban infrastructure and private residential life that Lugano maintains. The annual Lugano Festival, one of Switzerland's most distinguished classical music programmes, brings international artists to the lakeshore each spring and autumn. The LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, opened in 2015 on the lakefront, represents one of the most significant investments in cultural infrastructure made by any Swiss city in the past generation. And through all of this, the lake — its colour changing from silver to turquoise to cobalt across the hours of the day, its surface reflecting the mountains above and the clouds moving through the sky between them — remains the element that most clearly declares what Lugano is: a place of beauty that takes itself seriously.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between mediumship and a psychic reading?

Mediumship sessions focus on communication with loved ones who have passed away. Psychic readings focus on your present circumstances, relationships, life direction and possible paths ahead. Let Raphaël know which focus matters to you.

Can I have a private consultation online?

Yes. Connect by an agreed video or telephone method from a quiet, private setting. These pages describe online consultations for clients in each destination, not a local office. Agree your appointment date, local time and connection method before the session.

Which languages are available?

Raphaël offers consultations in English, French and Spanish. Choose the language in which you feel most comfortable expressing yourself.

What should I prepare?

Choose a quiet setting and a reliable connection. You may bring questions or a focus for your session. After booking, follow the consultation questionnaire and preparation instructions provided.

Can a particular loved one or message be guaranteed?

No. A mediumship session cannot guarantee communication with a particular person, a specific message or a particular emotional outcome. Raphaël shares and interprets the impressions he receives with care.

Are private sessions and group readings the same?

No. A private consultation reserves one-to-one time with Raphaël. Group readings are separate ticketed events, with their own dates and prices when announced. An event ticket does not reserve a private consultation or guarantee an individual reading.
